Do you charge commissions or any other fees?
No, we do not. Rest assured that the only fee you pay is the small monthly fee to be listed on our website. We are a technology company, not a rental, property management, or real estate agency. We provide an affordable and optimized gateway for you to list your rental(s) online easily, quickly, and inexpensively.
How do I receive enquiries?
All enquiries go directly to your email. On each of your rental listing pages, there is a contact form the visitor may choose to use. The email is sent directly to your email on file in your Maui.Best account. It does not go to us so make sure to check your inbox. In addition, a copy of each enquiry is saved onto your dashboard where you can view them, archive them, or permanently delete them. Know that if you delete the email from your Maui.Best's dashboard, it only deletes them from your dashboard but not from your email program.
Visitors may also choose to call you if you allow the display of that information on your profile.

Do I have to use a management company?
No, you do not. Our directory site is open to both owners and rental managers. We welcome home or condo owners with one or more properties on Maui or management companies handling multiple clients.
What kind of image files can I upload? What is the best size?
You can upload standard image types such as jpg, jpeg, or png. For security reasons, we do not accept other formats for images.
For the property's slideshow, we recommend you size your photos to be 800 pixels by 460 pixels. By using this exact proportion, you will make full use of the slideshow space we have coded.
For your profile's photograph, we recommend 200 pixels by 200 pixels for best visual rendering.
How do I change my password?
You have two options:
- Log into your account, then click on the tab My Profile. There, you will have the opportunity to update your password.
- Another option is to use the reset password function on this page.
For your security, all passwords are highly encrypted and our team does not have access to them. All we can do is send a secured link to your email address so that you may reset it safely.
What do I do if I do not recall the email I used to sign up?
In such case, simply contact us via our contact form. We are happy to help you. One of our team members will ask you specific questions to confirm your identity and provide the information you need to regain access to your account.
How do I restore an account I accidently deleted or let expire?
Contact us directly. We might be able to restore a backup copy of your account.
What should I do if I receive SPAM?
SPAM and fraudulent emails continue to be an issue on the web. If you have encountered an email from a suspicious source, please let us know right away and we will block them from our website. We have security measures in place to stop them but need you to provide the suspected email address. In some instances, we will report them to the proper authorities. As in any other transactions on the web, always use common sense, investigate the request, ask a trusted friend or adviser for their opinion, or contact our team as we may be able to help.
What should I do when a renter contacts me?
Always handle all enquiries seriously but be aware of fraudulent emails. Should you have any questions about a suspicious email, contact us immediately.
Once you have established that the rental request is legitimate, continue with the same agreement and arrangement you have in place for your rentals. If you are new to the Maui rental market, we can put you in touch with local property management companies who can assist you. Understand that our company does not provide this service. We do not offer rental agreement, permit applications, etc. These are your responsibilities. We merely provide the online platform for you to list your property for rent on the Island of Maui.
What can I do if my address does not show on Google Map?
Our system integrates directly with Google Map. If your address appears on Google Map, it will appear on our site as long as it is typed in the exact same way. If you have a comma in a street name, you may want to remove the comma as Google seems to have some issues with those. Example: Waine'e St needs to be made Wainee St.
What is your refund policy?
The two packages we offer are month to month and non-refundable as noted in our Terms of Service. You may choose to cancel at any time and this will automatically stop your monthly dues at the next scheduled date.
How many rentals can I advertise with my Maui.Best account?
You can advertise as many rentals as you contracted for. Both Standard and Best account types come with one rental listing included. You can easily add extra ones for a very small fee. Log into your account and click the tab My Account for more details. Note that if you have a lot of rentals, you should contact our team directly for discounted rates. In many instances, we might also be able to import your listings from other platforms or a document.
How long are my rentals listed on your website?
Since our plans are month to month, your rentals will be listed as long as you continue your membership with us.
What else can I do to promote my rental property on Maui?
If you have the Standard plan, we encourage you to upgrade to the Best plan. This will make your listing a Featured Rental giving it extra visibility through out the entire website as well as higher ranking. We also offer customized plans for additional Internet marketing so do not hesitate to contact us directly if this is of interest to you. We can develop an online marketing plan that fits your specific budget and needs.
Can I also promote my business on your site?
Yes, you may but not through the membership program. The membership component is reserved only for rentals available on Maui. We do welcome vendors and businesses from Maui to be listed on our various resources pages and can even develop an affordable paid plan to give your business, may it be a tour company or other, extra advertising space on our site. In addition, we can design and dedicate specific pages highlighting your business showing what you do, why people should use your services, how to contact you, and so forth.
What modes of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards. Monthly invoicing is available for larger rental companies. Please enquire with our company directly if you feel this is your case.
How do I register?
To register your account and rentals, simply click the green button "ADD YOUR RENTAL" in the right end side of the navigation bar. You can choose from one of two plans and add extra rentals if you have more than one property.
There is an easy three-step registration process.
- Step 1: You choose your advertising package and create your profile.
- Step 2: Make your payment with your credit card via our secured payment gateway.
- Step 3: Add your rental properties on Maui.
How soon after I signed up are my rentals listed?
Immediately. Our online portal is user friendly and enables you to open an account and list your rentals in a short time without any technical knowledge. Saying this, you may choose to de-activate your listing at any time if you wish to hide it from the public. This is very useful if you are not quite finished with completing the listing profile. Re-activating the listing is as simple as clicking on the activate button.
Do you require a short-term rental permit from the County of Maui?
You are not required to provide us a copy but, by accepting our terms of use, you certify that you are in full compliance. Indeed, we expect you to be in full compliance with laws and regulations may they be specific to the County of Hawaii, state, or federal laws, and/or to your specific area. How do I manage the calendar of availability?
Each listing has its own calendar which you can manage when you are logged onto your dashboard. That are two ways to edit the available dates for your rental.
- On the My Rentals page, you will see a green button titled Calendar.
- You may also click on Edit, and then Edit Calendar in the right end column.
Note that you can also choose to not show any calendar for your rental listing. There is a check box titled "Calendar On Profile?" under My Rental tab. If you uncheck it, it will not show the calendar for your listing.
